Chili Plant Time Lapse

by BhutJolokia on August 18, 2010

I’m growing some chili plants, so I’ve set up a cam to record the progress. These photos are mostly taken around the same time each day – the wildly fluctuating time on the clip is due to ‘technical issues.’ I’ll add more, and generally tidy it up, at a later date. The plants seen here are Georgia Flame and Pusa Jawala varieties. I just realised that the last frame, 09/04 is missing! I’ll try to add that next time.

Growing Bhut Jolokia 2009

by BhutJolokia on August 14, 2010

These plants were in pots in 2008. They were over-wintered in a cool room (50-65 F.) with grow lights 24-7. Watered only about once a month, they loose most of their leaves. in March they were brought to a local nursery to start growing again. At the begining of June they were put into the garden soil. Holy Moly! HUNDREDS of Bhuts per plant! This is Cleveland Ohio folks, not New Mexico.
